You have to be sure they really are orphans.With the country in so much chaos,how could you be sure enough yet.Yes these children need taking care of but how would an ordinary Haitian stand a chance of getting their child back were they wrong.Also if you take a large part of the countries population out of the country,even with the best intentions and reasons don't you leave a gap in that population in years to come?
However Haiti probably has no facilities to take care of large numbers of orphaned children,and they do need taking care of.
Seems America has its feet well and truly under the table in Haiti,they were very very quick in seeing to that.Would be an awful thought that anyone might benefit from such a tragedy,or is that just cynical?
At least something good is coming out of this horrible disaster! but I do agree that there should be thorough searches for the children's real families before sending them off to adoptive families.
