Talkback: Premature babies more likely for teenage mums

Replies

  • it has alot to do with added stresses and poorer social support structures, nowdays you get pregnant young and it can be a real fight for even just the basics, stress is documented to effect size in babies and it also effects eating habits, that and a lack of money/ suitable housing means that mums are not sleeping as well or eating the ideal diet to support a growing foetus as well as hungry mummy appropriately...
  • Maybe it all has to do with modern day life styles, teenage mothers from other races never had this problem, but then they had to work from dawn to dusk, and did not have all on a plate as it were,
Also Nature never intended this, if it had a Woman would not have her periods until well into her twenties.
