I agree, when my hubby is watchin a film I can always hear if any of the kids are crying or footsteps accross the hall if they get out of bed, even with the surround sound blasting out!...my hubby however seems to be able to block them out completly i.e where i only half sleep at night just incase anyone wakes up, he snores through even the loudest screaming from the children. selective defness i think its called!! ha
