Talkback: Top new toys for 2011 revealed at the Toy Fair

  • I totally agree! Was thinking that exact same thing... spooky. I know children love all the gimmicky stuff, I just wish toys were more like they used to be!
  • Sorry but I always wanted the plastic rubbish when I was bought the lovely wooden toys as a child! Don't see why everything has to be battery opereated though.

Although I've yet to find any lego sets that rival the Fabuland that I had as a child and my dad had saved for the grandchildren!
  • Hmmmm as interesting as it is, I can't help but feel sad that traditional toys are being kicked off the top spot :-(

What happened to the lovely wooden toy sets and hand painted stuff we used to play with when we were kids?

I know kids have to move with the times (and maybe I do) but all these top new toys look a bit plastic for me...
