  Primary children should not do homework apart from maybe a weekly spelling list (that's what I had in the 80's). Leave our children to be children.

  Homework for young children could lead to inconsistancy in learning. The methods used in the classroom might not be known by the parents and could lead to bigger learning problems for the child
