In February 2018, Philips issued a statement noting that their Avent uGrow Smart Ear Thermometer was not safe as it gave inaccurate readings. Braun Age Precision Digital Stick is not for use in ear. That would be dangerous. It's for under arm use.

I have the Tommee Tippee thermometer and can not fault it. It is so quick and easy to use which is especially beneficial when you have a ill toddler who doesn’t want anything going near them! Quickly goes in the ear, press the button and the results are almost instant! Definitely recommend
