My 2yo has a tablet with kids YouTube installed. He does like watching the stupid American videos where they're opening surprise eggs and playing with toys. However, I have a curfew set as well as parental controls for searches and purchases. Luckily, as much as he likes his tablet, he is aware that imaginative play is better on the whole and will spend most of his day doing puzzles, playing with his cars and trains or outside getting dirty and sweaty 😂. If and when he starts swapping play time for screen time, the parental controls will become more strict so his tablet "goes to sleep" for much of the day.
