  I think this is what is needed in shops. Kids can pick what they want and don't need to feel pressurised into picking from a certain section. My nearly 3 year old daughter often picks clothes from the 'boys' section such as superheroes or plain items which she likes and they don't have in the 'girls' section. We allow her to choose any new clothes within reason and she likes that she gets to decide what she will wear for the day
