Talkback: In the news: Breastfeeding

Replies

  • I cannot agree, I think around 4 months babies are suddenly becoming aware of the world. You have the 4 month regression, fussiness, sleep issues and their whole world is turned upside down and they cluster feed constantly. I took this as my LG being hungry, more hungry than I could supply so I tried giving her a few supplementary purees. She soon settled down and whilst takes an interest in our food. She has gone back to being happily exclusively breast fed and is 5 months,

I want to try baby led weaning with her and agree that 6 months or so will be the correct time. I feel chewing is only just starting to develop at 5 months plus and if she were to try whole foods now, a serious risk of chocking awaits.
