Opinions needed on designing baby change station

Hi all,
I am a university student with the task of designing a piece of furniture for a child, which can be altered/adapted as the child grows in order to meet their changing needs.

I am considering designing some sort of baby change station/table which can become a standard surface or desk after the child has grown out of the changing stage.

As you may have children yourselves, you will know better than me about what is suitable and appropriate for a product designed for babies and children. If you have any opinions or suggestions on anything to do with this topic, such as your current set up for baby changing, how you think this could be improved etc, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
