breast feeding and sleep!

i am in desperate need of help and advice! my 7month old has been exclusively breastfed until introducing solids at 6months. he is getting the hang of solids now but his main food source is still very much breastmilk. i am wanting to continue breastfeeding for as long as possible but since introducing solids he has fallen back into a routine of waking every 2-3 hrs through the night for milk. i have tried offering him a dummy, water and self foothing but once offered a feed i can hear him gulping so clearly hungry, although he only feeds for 5-10 mins at a time. has anyone else experienced this? is it completly normal or is there something i havent yet tried?

days but just give it a try........my  baby now wake once at 3 o clock hope will cope with that soon....
