Yes I had the flu jab as I am entitled to it anyway and really didn't want the flu 😣.
It's a quick and simple injection and no side affects (well I never have anyway).
My sister on law is 20 weeks pregnant and has just had the flu jab with no side affects or complications and now knows she won't be getting the flu this year 😉😉.
Rainbowsunshine, well done! I too successfully navigated the school run. Got them there on time and everything ;-) Good sleeping Gracie, Hector sadly did not allow me much sleep last night. Going to be trying to get him down early tonight I think. Hubby will be working so instead of sitting on sofa watching tv with him sleeping on hubby will try and get him down in crib and get an extra couple of hours sleep... wish me luck! My other 2 were such good sleepers from really early (especially for breastfed babies) so this is rather different for me :-/
Hope the infacol helps. Agree, the word colic strikes fear into my heart :-D
Thankyou everyone going to try take him out on my own again tomorrow
Congratulations thuper and rainbow on driving
Last night we ended up at A&E got the fright of our life's...he started screaming like he never has before, red in the face barley taking a breath between screams...tried everything then went to change his nappy and it was full of blood as I was changing him more blood is coming out it was horrible, rushed him up to the hospital they did few tests on him and said they would call if I needed to take him back, they havnt called yet, so no news is good news but he's had more blood again today, hospital said that I should make appointment with GP and that the blood is probably from straining due to constapation...scarey stuff though...blood isn't somthing I expected to see in his nappy x
Ahh yay for new car Thuper! And that’s great you’ve been given the all clear to drive again 😄
Oh Rebecca bless you what an eventful time you’ve been having!! I would have been terrified of both someone grabbing my pram AND blood in the nappy. Sending a big virtual hug! And I wouldn’t worry about his sleep, my husbands first daughter and one of my friends daughters slept through pretty much from birth! (Husband now doesn’t understand why Ariella isn’t sleeping through at three weeks, I told him he doesn’t realise how lucky he was last time! 🙈😂)
Ariella is doing really well, she was weighed today, three weeks old on Sunday and now weighs 8lbs 15oz, just over a pound gain since birth ☺️ Seems like every day now there’s another outfit that doesn’t fit her, and it’s still making me all emotional, can’t believe how quickly she’s growing! Got her registered at the doctors today too, she’s still got mucusy eyes from the cold she has which just doesn’t seem to be fully clearing so will be trying to get her an appointment as soon as the registration is processed, feel so bad I can’t do anything to fix it!
Annoyingly my pregnancy reflux has suddenly come back! Had a few terrible days in the last week so I’m back on omeprazole now 😩 Feeling so run down whilst getting used to night feeds so hoping once I get into the swing of things it’ll disappear. I’m actually getting used to the feeds between 2-7am and they’re not making me feel tired! Oddly the 8-9am feed is the one that’s a killer, and I just can’t seem to nap during the day either.
Good growing Ariella! Ellabelle, can't remember if you're breastfeeding or Not, but if you are then breast milk can help gunky eyes. Hope your reflux goes away soon, how rotten for you.
Hector decided last night he couldn't possibly sleep in his crib. At first I thought it was wind but as he slept ever so peacefully once on me I'm not convinced....as a result I've had barely any sleep. Zombie mummy today! If he falls asleep in the pram on the school run then hopefully he'll stay asleep for a bit and I can have a nap. Proably wishful thinking.
oh no thuper I hope you’ve been able to get some sleep I sometime wonder this about Gracie she will start crying and I think it must be because of wind pick her up and shes just all content in my arms looking around 😂 I’ve decided to hold off of the infocol for now and see how she goes I don’t want to make anything worse when she’s not that bad it’s bareable ha
ellabelle i Know how you feel about the clothes Gracie’s also growing out of hers its to soon I want her to stay little forever xx
Morning all. I'm currently on the sofa with a sleeping baby on my chest... sod the housework! He slept much better last night so feeling human today. Still taking the opportunity to sit back and do nothing though. This time will be gone before I know it.
How is everyone? It's pretty quiet on here, hope everyone is ok and just too busy enjoying their babies 😍
I'm sat with Elizabeth having a snooze next to me. She's as good as gold. She sleeps 3 to 4 hours at night, only waking for a feed and a change. She'll occasionally cluster feed in the day but she's 16 days old today and the midwife said she's probably having a growth spurt so that's fine by me! She was 7lb 12oz at birth and was 8lb 8oz at day 10 so I'm happy she's gaining so well.
Mama on the other hand has been very busy. I'm not sure if I told you all about my hearing loss in pregnancy. Well it's gotten a lot worse, which is a big concern as I can barely hear baby when she's grizzling. Went to a ent specialist and I have a condition that's been brought on by my estrogen in pregnancy. I have to wear hearing aids now with the potential of an operation which should fix the issue. Need to wait for a CT scan to see if the op is viable.
Hearing loss, hemorrhoids, stretchmarks and stitches... The things we do for our bubbas. I have to say though, I feel so blessed to have her. She's a dream.
We did a small photo shoot when she was 6 days old so I'll pop some pictures up!
Shan she's so cute bless. Sorry to see that your hearing hasn't come back, sounds scary with the operation mind.
Yeyyy for the new car thumper, bet you've got plenty of room now for the children. Glad you got abit of sleep.
Dalton is feeding every 3-4 hours but I'm having to get up at 5am to take the other half to work and getting back home at 6.30 then setting off for the school at 8.15am, tidying up, well try to, do pots and bottles etc, feeding Dalton inbetween, getting some play time in there aswell, then setting off at 1.20pm to get other half then home, then school run again..tiring a little, busy pops to mind lol.
Rebecca how scary, hope he's ok. As for the pushchair issue that'll put me off aswell going out. I had a mini break down in Tesco when he was a few days old and that put me off going out for a while, don't know if you can rememer me writing about it, think it was due to the amount of people that was round me and thought of potentially getting him out for a feed.
I have an infection down below, very very swollen down there, can't sit properly as very uncomfortable. Dalton is spotty, he's got pimple spots on his face bless him and a few on his shoulders, I've read it's normal so I'm just cleaning his face 3 times a day to keep him clean..cant believe 4 weeks have gone by already.
Sorry if ive missed anyone..lack of sleep and cant think properly, thought baby brain was bad haha i hope everyone is ok and babies are doing well 😊
Yea Gemma I remember your writing about that, I'm more confident going out with him now, think it's somthing I will have to keep working on
Oh no Gemma sounds very unpleasant hope that sorts out for you soon odin has a few spots on his face as well think they are just milk spots
Took ody to the Dr today and they have sent of a stool sample, the blood is still happening but it's a lot less Just got to wait on the results.
Last Tuesday he weighed 8pound 15oz and this Tuesday he was 9pound 7oz..I was happy with this and so was midwife but on my horrible mother in law asking how much he weighs all she had to say was "ummm you better watch that, you don't want him to be fat he will get bullied" I was lost for words he's not even 4 weeks old..silly old bag never has anything positive to say..was thinking to my self babys and toddlers are chubby x
Hi everyone, hope you are all well and recovering!
I've been trying to get into a routine now that other half is back in work.
Olive is a little dream, she wakes every 3-4 hours for a feed. She does get quite bad wind though which I'm going to speak to the midwife about Monday. She gasps and wheezes and almost squeaks alot! It' starting to scare me but I think it's just where She's windy?? Other than that she's coming along lovely.
I'm feeling a lot better now. The stitches were ok..it was hemmoroids that were the worst ever!!!! 2 weeks of so much pain!
Shan what beautiful photos I hope they can sort your hearing out for you
gracie also has spots on her face and her ears at the bottom are rough spoke to the health visitor about it and she said it’s from the bath that she must have sensitive skin so she gave us something to use in the bath hopefully it will clear up soon her belly button Also isn’t healed yet She said to put salt on it and a pad over the top and leave it for two hours everyday I don’t like the sound of that but she said they have no feeling there so it won’t hurt her and instead of her crying being wind it’s relux so I’ve changed her onto the cow and Gate Reflux milk yesterday which already we are noticing a big difference in her she’s not squirming around drinking her bottle anymore but the milk is really thick so had to use the next size teat
well done hector on his longer sleeping hope He’s been keeping it up for you
aww Lou she is beautiful look at her little face 😍
rebecca what a horriable thing for her to say he’s just a baby I wouldn’t listen to that comment at all hope his results come back ok xxx
Yea the mother in law isn't one of my favourite people, she's just a horrible person..she's so over bearing and trys to control everything and makes our business hers😡 she's causing arguments between me and my parentner and it doesn't help she only lives round the corner
I highly recommend this type of cushion bean bag he loves it and goes to sleep right away it has a slightly slanted upwards position it's been a life saver recently as he's been crying and being fussy whenever he's not being held but with this bean bag he drops off to sleep no problem 😃 xx

Ellabelle have you tried got to g in a steamy room with Ariella. The mucus could be from the cold which they can't do anything about.
One of my little ones had it and was told by doctors it was because of the cold and to sit in a steamy room with her.
Hope lo feels better soon.

Gorgeous pics Shan 😍 sorry to read your hearing issues have worsened, fingers crossed you don' have to wait too long on the CT scan.
Gemma, I'm exhausted just reading about your days! Infection sounds dreadful, hope it clears up soon.
Rebecca, your MIL needs a slap! What a dreadful thing to say. Did Dr say how long Odin's test results would take?
Hector slept a 6 hour stretch last night 😍 I woke up twice to check he was ok, silly mummy.
Today he had his first trip to the cinema. He fed then slept, good boy.
Hi everyone, hope you are all well and recovering!

Oh Lou, Olive is so cute.
Rainbowsunshine, glad the change of milk has helped.
Rebeca, Odin looks so chilled on his beanbag. Hector is less a fan of his, will usually be quiet on it long enough for me to eat a meal but that's it.
Past couple of nights have been dreadful, he won't go down in his crib at all. Clearly the 6 hours was a fluke.
I did just manage to get some housework done while wearing him in a wrap, so it's not all bad. He'll get there, bless him.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend x
