He's becoming clingy

Max is almost a year old and often plays on his own, but has started crawling up to me and hugging my leg and if I move away, he starts screaming. I don't know how the best way to handle this is. I can't deny my little boy a cuddle with mummy, but I don't want him to become too clingy and dependent.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks xxxxxxx
