qu re: requesting flexible working.....

Hi Ladies, I'm due to return to work in jan and need to put in my letter to request flexible working. Most of my team work part time so its just a formality really. The guidance suggests you put in your application what advantages it will bring to the company if you work flexibly???? I cant think of any for them although there are obvious advantages for me!!!!!
any help would be much appreciated!
