Has anybody used fucidin cream on a burst abcess before??

Hi some of you may of read my post from a couple of days ago about a hard lump i found on baileys bum,well i got him to the docs and he told me it was an abcess,poor baby its right near his bum hole!!! Anyway he prescribed antibiotics and this fucidin cream, but thismorning the abcess burst and loads of yellow puss came out (sorry,sounds disgusting i know!!) but the abcess is still there its still a big hard lump,i just wondered if anyone knew wether i can still apply this cream even though the abcess has burst,(bailey only 4 1/2 month old) am waiting for doc to ring me to let me know but he hasnt been in contact yet and bailey is very grumpy today as the abcess is sore.anybody know??????? thanks, becky xx

yeah i used it on broken exzema if thats any help i think its a brill cream

i used it on harris belly button when he was 2 weeks old as it got a bit infected and weepy.xxx

thanks ladies,think i will still use it then,i just didnt know if it could still be used on the abcess.but if its been used on exzema and infected belly button it should be all right shouldnt it,thanks again xx

I had a burst abcess on my C-section scar and this is what they gave me. It worked brilliantly, and it didn't sting or anything when applied. Hope your boy gets better soon x
