Dry tickly cough - but only at night

HI ladies
just wondered if anyone could offer some advice with the problem I am having. My LO has a dry tickly cough, but it is only a night time. I am reluctant to give calpol as he is not coughing in the day. I wondered if it could be due to lying flat, so I have put some towels under his sheets to elevate him slightly but this hasnt made any difference.
Can anyone offer any advice?

    Just a thought but could the bedroom be too dry and airless? Is it ventilated? If not it might be worth opening a window and letting some air through to see if it helps?
