Baby lost weight

HI,
My baby born on 13th Aug-09. At the time of birth baby weighted 3.540 kgs. and aftre 5 baby weighing 3.060 kgs. Midwife visited us today and she suggested to breastfeed more often every 2 hours for haf an hour. Is it allright? Do we need to worry about anything?
Any advise how baby can gain weight?
I appreciate your help.

    my little one lost quite a bit of weight, the hv told me to increase her feeds to every 2 hours and express after each feed to increase my milk supply. I know this works for a lot of people, but for me ciara still wasnt getting enough so now she breastfeeds and i top her up wit formula. Good luck, definitly worth trying feeding every 2 hours.
