Avent variable flow teats

Hi Girls,
My LO is 8 weeks old tomorrow & uses size 2 avent teats. However, she can take an AGE to finish a bottle (4/5 oz) & makes a loud clicking noise when she drinks, like shes struggling to get the milk out. She also very rarely finishes a bottle before falling asleep. I have tried size 3 teats with her, but these drown her! I have looked into the variable teat where they control the flow of milk etc but it says from 3m+.....I was wondering if anyone uses these with their LO's who are a similar age.
