bloody car seats and cars

I'm so pissed off at the minute, i'm trying to find a new car seat for Paige, she's 5 &1/2 months and out growing her baby seat, trouble is i have a Rover 75 club with no handbook, all car seat manuals say to look in the car handbook to see if it takes universal car seats, if not to contact the car manufacturer or car seat manufacturer, well i cant contact Rover for obvious reasons, and when i called Graco today about the Graco Junior Mini they ask what car i had and when i told her they woman said oh sorry we cant check our database for Rovers.......................sooooooooooooooo arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh...........does anyone know if a rover 75 club 2000 is a universal car seat carrier............................oh it just winds me up why do they say to contact them if they have no idea what cars are compatible with their car seats...........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhh

  • You could try posting the question on one of these forums to see what other owners have used.

    http://www.75andztclub.com/
    http://www.rovertorque.co.uk/

Alternatively you could send a blanket email to a number of car seat manufacturers or retailers asking if they can advise if any of their products fits your make and model of car. This might create a bit of competition and encourage a response? Worth a try.

    Good luck!

  • I'm probably going to get my arse kicked for recommending another site but you could try
    www.theanswerbank.co.uk
I generally go there when I have an obscure question and someone always answers. Just make sure you put your question in the right forum, I think there's a motoring forum.
  • Hiya, this might help you, it's a website which gives you the details for the local road safety team, where they will test to see if the car seat fits your car before you buy http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/

My local council provides this service before you buy one
