We need to start planning our son's christening soon, but money's pretty tight and we have a big family. Anyone have any idea of the usual costs for a christening, or any ideas how to keep the budget down? Any christening advice appreciated!!!
We didn't get either of ours christened, but my Auntie had her two boys done together and for the church, and a place for the drinks and buffet etc was just over ??300 I think she said.
hi 2 of my girls are christened and am getting my youngest christened after xmas you can set your own budget for the church its free and we just put on a party at our house cost about ??100 for food and drinks and my christening dresses were ??30 from next claire and lola-mae xx
Hi, my sister & I recently had a joint Christening for our boys. The main expense is the function room & buffet which was around ??250 (for 70 people)...one of the Nans made the fruit cakes which we iced ourselves & we madesome muffins for those who don't like fruit cake. I spent ??10 on a helium balloon decoration. Both babies wore family gowns so no money spent there. xxx
