I've done this before & only a couple of genuine things connected to me come up, BE posts & one review I did for a website I bought something from but both are harmless & I'm quite proud of the info I give on them! ) Other than that I am an actress, gymnast, author & other people on networking sites with same name...I opted out of my name coming up for fb when it's googled as part of my fb profile settings.
Although freaky googling names can be very useful, I've used it to reunite a Christmas card with it's rightful recipient one year that got posted through my door - I looked them up on 192.com & they were around the corner from me, my good deed for the year! I also used it to track down my hubby's psyco ex (says me who's googling her! lol!) to get post for her - student debt bills etc being sent to us & passing her details on so they could stop mailing us! xxx

I did this yesterday after all the facebook warning threads- wanted to make sure my be posts didn't come up which luckily they didn't. BUT I think i get the prize for the worst match- I am a notorius American criminal, imprisoned for a murder at the age of 15! lol But another 'me' has an art gallery, so thats not so bad.
I'm paranoid so do google both my maiden and married name on occasion and me personally has never come up cause I don't put my name online anywhere. Both my surnames are fairly unusual though so nothing shows up on my married name and maiden name apparently I'm a lawyer and some kind of athletic person (I think not!)
Just wanted to say about the people who have deleted their info from these threads and its still showing on google searches - its probably a google cached version of the site (as in google might be looking at what was up yesterday) - so don't worry and google again in a day or so and see if its gone.
Mine's a bit sad. There was a lady in America with the same name who died in a car accident. With my madien name it comes up with bebo and facebook but aren't me! Oh is an American hockey player, professor and top researcher at Napier Uni! Good post!x
I have tried deleting them but can't. I recon it companies selling your detailes onto third parties. The thing I'm worry about is just form your full date or birth and full name your identy can be stolen.

I don't exist (phew!!) but oh is on there and I reckon I'd come up on the marriage certif etc. Makes you really stop and think about what someone could find out about you without too much effort. Will be way more careful in future! x

Googling my name comes up with my facebook (but you can't view my profile coz that's private) and it comes up with another site I joined but I've privatised that now too but no other people with my first name and surname together!! Went on that 192.com too, typed in just my name but no location and that also came up with just me but had me living with my mum, her boyfriend and the lady who lived there before us even though she died in 2001 and i haven't lived there since 2003!! I don't get it because it says it's from the electoral roll 2002-2007 but I always get my voting form sent here????
i got 1,400,000+ hits for my name, so funnily enough, wont be looking at them all!! i am obviously terribly common!!
