Can you freeze pasta?

Hi guys!

I've got a 6 month old little boy whose been on solids since he was 4 months. I've seen that shops do special 'baby' pasta? is this any different to normal pasta?

I make all his baby food from scratch and then freeze it for later, is it ok to blend/puree pasta and sauce together and then freeze them?

Thanks

It's fine to do that Rebecca. I freeze pasta in different sauces alot. I think the baby pasta is actually made of rice. I buy normal pasta now and cut it up as it's much cheaper than baby pasta.

I have found that it's best to cook the pasta al-dente so it's still a little bit hard. Otherwise I think it can turn a bit mushy when de-frosted and re-heated. The baby pasta is good but normal pasta is a lot cheaper!!
