How many poops???

I was under the impression that 2-3 poops a day was fine while BFing but I just read in 'what to expect in the first year' and it says 5 large bowel movements per day, we don't get five and I'm worried now! What do your LO's do on average?

my 12 day old does 2-3 a day too - I haven't been told my MW its a worry....

bf babies can go several days without a poo so don't worry. My daughters would go every couple of days. My son now though has some poo in every nappy!!!! They're all different but because there's no waste in breastmilk they don't have as much poo.

Thanks ladies it's good to know. I hate the books sometimes, they are so black and white saying 'there should be 5 bowel movements per day' grrrr so annoying!!! I'm getting used to lots of conflicting information though!!! It's good to get perspective! xxx
