Breatst pain

Hi everyone,

I gave birth on Thursday and i am not breastfeeding as i find it too painful, however my milk has just come through and i am in constant pain, i was wondering if anyone had any advice to help ease/cope with the pain, and how long does it last for?

Thank you,

anna

  • hi, i had this when my lo was born in sept- it was so painful, i was in tears at night and i couldnt even attempt t rollover in bed. the midwife showed me how to massage the breast (rub quite firm towards the nipple but not really hard) also try placing a warm flannel on them wen your in the bath, mine were really painful for about 48hrs- then it seemed to ease of, maybe try some paracetamol aswell. xxx
  • Sounds mad but cabbage leaves heated up and popped inside your bra really works, it helps draw the milk out which will releive the pain.
