Breastfeeding after a reduction?

Hi ladies,

I'm 37+3 today, and had a breast reduction 7 years ago at the age of 20. I seem to recall my consultant saying that they had preserved the ducts etc as best they could, but no one seems to be able to give me any information on my likelihood of being able to breastfeed little one when he arrives (hopefully shortly; this soon to be mummy is fed up with heartburn and peeing every 5 minutes!).

From midwifes to NCT class leaders, everyone is basically saying 'wait and see'. My question is, has anyone here had a reduction and went on to successfully bf their baby? I've not had leaky nipples, so not sure if things are functioning as they should, but then again, baby is also not engaged and that's also something that apparently 'should' have happened by now!

Thanks in advance image
