Domperidone

Have any of you had to take domperidone to increase milk supply? On the recommendation of my HV this was prescribed to me by a GP, however, he had no idea that domperidone had the side effect of increasing prolactin and had no idea how much to prescribe me. I have been taking 2 10mg tablets twice a day for a week and i have not seen a great improvement, from what i have read it can take a week to take effect but i have also read that the starting dose to increase lactation is 3 10mg tablets 3 times a day - i will ring my HV about it tomorrow but wondered if anyone who has taken it before could let me know how often they were presecribed to take it as i dont think the GP really had much of a clue!
