Dr Brown Standard Bottles and Comfort Food

Good afternoon all,

No doubt this has probably come up before but I am knew to this site and would like to seek some expert advice from you all.

Our baby is now 6 weeks old and we have switched to the Cow and Gate Comfort food and the doctors advice.

Originally we were on Avent bottles but the baby was having trouble with the no 1 teats. We then switched to Dr Browns standard bottles ( the skinny ones) but again the size 1 teat was usless.

We have been using size 2 teats but again we seem to have trouble with these. Sometimes the teats appear not to work and we have to switch mid feed. Is the comfort food to thick even for size 2.

we are giving the food at room temperature, so we just mix the powder, shake the milk till powder mixed properly and feed. Sometimes it is taking over an hour to feed as the baby falls asleep as he is sucking for so long.

Can someone please advise on how to help with this one? Should the comfort food be heated or room temp?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Paul
