Second hand breast pumps
What's everyone's opinion on buying breast pumps second hand?
With my first child I borrowed my best friends, but because it was a manual one you could take it completely to bits, give it a good scrub and throw it in the steriliser. Plus I'm 99% sure she has no underlying blood diseases etc.
Now I'm expecting number 2, I'd like to try an electric one, but don't really want to pay out loads as I may not use it - breast feeding may be more successful this time. I've been looking at Medela Swings on ebay and have seen some where the actual motor is "used" but there's a new and sealed pack of all the attachments - shield, connector, valve head, membrane and bottle.
Just wondering what everyone else thinks. Part of me thinks yukkie, but then part of me thinks how is it any different from last time?

I bought a second hand 1 with my 1st & didn't think anything of it. Just took it apart & gave it a good clean & sterilise before I used it (& will do again before I reuse it)
Hello I use a second hand pump too and the bubs is 7 months now and growing well. I think as long as you wash them well and sterilse there shouldn't be any problem (:
