manual or electric breast pump?

Hello,
Im going to go out tomorrow and try and kit myself out with bits to make breast feeding/expressing easy!

Please can everyone give me some advice on what 'really' works.. as ive heard so many bad things about the manual ones.... Are the electric ones much more effective?

    I had manual one last time (2 yrs ago) and the handle used to pop off when i was using it. My maternity unit uses electric ones and they seam to work quite quickly. This time i am looking at Toysrus electric one which at the moment is only ??19. Hope this helps a little.
