Nutramigen 1 Pharmacies have no stock

hi, my son has been on nutramigen 1 since he was 6 weeks old, he’s now 16. I put in my repeat prescription as normal to be told when I went to collect it today they don’t have any stock, I called 6 different pharmacies and on their ordering system it is saying manufacturer problem and no have no date as to when it will come back in. I have now been given Aptamil Pepti 1 asa replacement. Is anyone else having this issue. I’m now worried as nutramigen doesn’t contain any lactose whereas Aptamil pepti does. We are being prescribed milk for cmpa not lactose intolerance but I said my baby hasn’t digested and lactose for 10 weeks and now suddenly he is going to have to ingest loads.

Have you tried contacting other pharmacies - like if you are getting your prescription via co-op pharmacy, maybe try Boots or Lloyds as they may have stock - might take a bit of chasing, but keep looking, cause i think your worries about offering lactose are probably right.
I have ed nearly every pharmacy there is and no one has any. I even called Mead Johnson who make it and they said they can’t give a date when it will be back to order. X

I've had a google, and this document (gonna try and link - hope it works) https://www.infantandtoddlerforum.org/media/upload/pdf-downloads/suitable-milks-for-cows-milk-allergy_1.pdf
gives other alternatives - any use? x
