Breast pumps

Hi ladies, I'm currently breastfeeding my daughter but will be looking to Express for some of the feeds in the nearish future. Does anybody have any recommendations for breast pumps? I've tried to look into it but find it all a bit of a minefield! Any suggestions or comments would be gratefully recieved!

  • How much do you want to spend?
The medela double breast pump is amaazing but expensive.
  • I really recommend a silicone breast pump (there are loads of brands on Amazon etc). They are cheap and really handy as you can use them on the other side while feeding which makes it easy to build up a supply of milk. Also they are easy to carry with you and clean etc. Although it’s probably not the best option if you wanted to pump for a significant amount of feeds

We went the Medela double breast pump, it's superb, worth every penny. We got a cheap one off Amazon have a look at reviews for them, it was very good but we managed to get the Medela new one for £200 instead of £359, check eBay there is often deals on there
