pregnancy related illness and references

Hi

I'm new to this site, this is my first post. I'm 32 weeks pregnant with baby no2.

I've had to have alot of time off sick in this pregnancy, approx two months on and off over the last 7 months due to hypermesis and now spd.

I really hate my job due to stress and long hours so I'll be looking for another job before my maternity leave finishes.

My question is "since my employer cant use pregnancy related illness to make any decisions about my job such as discipline/bonus/promotion etc, does that mean that they cannot mention my pregnancy related illnesses on a reference either?"
