6-10 weeks maternity leave- can it be done?

Hello,

I'm looking for advice/opinions/suggestions from people who are in or have been in a similar situation.

I work for a small company and so I will not get any other income apart from statutory maternity pay so realistically I will have to return to work after 8 weeks.

I've been looking at take your baby to work options in a carrier/sling which can be do up to 6 months.

I'm also very lucky that I can work flexi and as I'm quite office based. So the plan would be to work around the baby, even if this is weekends/evenings or whatever.

So whilst I've read up about companies that allow this I would like to know real experiences,

A longer maternity is not an option - I'm fine with that.

Thanks to anyone who reads.
