  • A breast fed baby may vomit after formula for a number of reasons

firstly a bottle is much easier to take than the breast so they can drink it much quicker resulting in them over eating and being sick. Always try to use the smallest teat. Size one would be best.

You can slow the pace by sitting baby upright and holding the bottle so the milk only just covers the teat. This means they have to suck harder. This method is called paced feeding. There is lots of info online and does help if supplementing alongside breast feeding.

Baby is more likely to suffer wind. Stop halfway through a bottle and wind baby and then start again. Make sure baby is winded after they have finished and trapped wind again can cause baby to be sick.

Try an anti colic bottle. Mam bottles are really good as they help stop wind

after you have made the bottle let it settle so the air can disperse.

try all these things and see if it helps.
