Thyroid and liver problems?
Hey ladies,
Just wondering if anyone had any experience of thyroid and liver problems?? Ickle George has got a dodgy thyroid, which he's been on medication for for ages now. The blood test that showed this up also showed some problem with his liver function - which has been investigated with blood tests and ultrasound scans (and we've just spent the bank holiday weekend in the liver unit of Birmingham Children's Hospital), where they still can't work out what it might be - apparently the two are often connected. Thing is, he's not ill or jaundiced and his poo is apparently the colour that it should be, so that hopefully rules out anything serious. Felt like a bit of a fraud in the hospital, taking up a bed when there were all these other very ill children - very sad...
So has anyone come across anything like this before?
