artificial insemination

Hi, myself and my husband have been trying for a baby for 18 months now, i have polycycstic ovaries, im currently on my 4th attempt on clomid. I had a scan the other day and my body isnt responding to it. So my next course is to be doubled up and if still no success they said next step is artificial insemination. Has anyboy had this done? and doesnt mind talking to me about it? what they had to do etc? many thanks x
