Post-pill amenorrhea and anovulation

Hi all

I'm wondering if anyone out there is going through/has been through the same situation as me. I came off the pill at the end of April 2015 to ttc #2. After the usual withdrawal bleed I have had no period, and its been over 7 months!! In this time I've had bouts of hot flashes (presumably low estrogen). I went to see my GP in the summer who said my FSH level was high (which looks like early menopause) but they couldn't investigate further until I'd hit the 6 month mark. I have an appointment with a infertility specialist in two weeks.

The weird thing is I've had three LH surges on OPK but have not ovulated (no period or pregnancy). The last two times I had all the usual signs of fertility and was sure it would happen but I've been temping and there has been no shift, temps are continuously low. My periods were completely regular before I went on the pill and I'd only been on it just over a year. Last time I came off the pill a few years ago my cycles were messed up for 6 months, but I at least had periods, they were just irregular.

Has anyone else experienced this? Why would I have an LH surge 3 times but not actually ovulate? I'm also wondering what the fertility specialist might do/suggest. I'm worried there may be a long road ahead before (and if!) I can get pregnant with baby number two
