What to expect when you're "being referred"

Good afternoon ladies,

I've posted a few times on the ttc forum, we are now past the normal ttc stage I think! :-(

I've been for my second lot of bloods at the doctors this morning and we are now just waiting for the forms to be sent off when the blood results come back some time this week. My DH has has had his swimmers checked already and are low-normal (for 40yo) but the problem points more to me in the fact that I'm not anywhere near regular. I've seen aunt flo 4 times since December 2014 (came off pill). 

My question is, I suppose, what can I expect from this referral now? In terms of time limits, prodding, poking etc. Im almost 26, generally healthy but the Dr suggests I lose weight (size 14-16).
