Implantation Bleeding or Period?

So I am due to get my period any time now, usually about a week ago or so. Its not abnormal for me to get brown discharge as a precursor to my period. I will get it and then start it that day or the next. I have had this "discharge" or light spotting, for about 5 or 6 days now. Is this my period? Implantation bleeding?
