TTC struggles 💔

Hi ladies,

I have posted on here a few times for questions and advice, but right now I just need a rant and some hope/success stories from anyone who has been struggling ttc.

It has now officially been a year since we have been actively trying and AF showed today. I feel so absolutely gutted, sad and heartbroken.

I work on a daily basis with pregnant women and babies which makes it heart that much more. To top things off my best friend has just found out she is pregnant - on her first month of trying! It's just a kick in the teeth when we have been trying for so long and done everything possible in our power to increase our chances (many hours of research, diet, supplements, cutting alcohol, etc..).

I really need some hope right now from anyone who has had a success story after TTC struggles. My partner has poor sperm motility and morphology so any success stories relating to this would be extremely helpful!

Baby dust to you all xx

  • Hi @Revbomb how are you getting on?

I do exactly the same with the videos....don't know why I torture myself though.

Did you get your test results?

I'm just so gutted about it all.

    Hey hun
Had a super busy day today
I got my results however they said nothing was wrong with me
They said to lose weight but it’s not like I’m over weight
hormomes and organs are all fine
but eggs are not Maturing 😒

so they said I can lose weight and try natural
    Or take clomid
  • Sorry to hear that but at least they have identified a problem and hopefully a solution 🤞 do you think you will try the clomid?
Did your OH have tests too? X
  • @Jammy1892 @Revbomb  Sorry for your struggles, my husband and I had 4 years of trying with no success, including 3 attempts  of IUI, we then finally started our treatment for IVF, I started taking the down reg drugs and boom! We get pregnant naturally, that pregnancy did end in miscarriage but the next month we got pregnant again (naturally) and we now have our beautiful daughter.

I’ve heard so many stories like this
i hope this happens to me right before clomid🤪
  • That's so good to hear @MrsD90! Glad you got your little girl 😊 if you don't  mind we asking, what were your fertility issues? Did they identify anything?

Hope you get the results you want @Revbomb. Hopefully they don't take too long x
  • @Jammy1892 I have a unicornuate uterus (basically half a uterus) so only my left ovary is actually attached to my uterus, everything was fine with my husband!
  • @Jammy1892 I'm in the same exact situation. It has been a year (12 cycles) of TTC-ing. DH works abroad so he's not home for 6 months every year. That's what makes things more complicated. I was currently searching for someone I can relate to and I found your post. <3

What do you suspect is wrong? I'm constantly thinking about what I can do to make things happen. So DH has a son from his previous relationship. He is 6 so I think he's sperm is fine. But my periods are so regular and I have never had an anovulatory cycle (of course, the ones I have been tracking since started to TTC). Ovulation between CD 15 and 18 and luteal phase is 12 days ( 13 DPO I usually start my period ). I just started to read a book It starts with an egg. Maybe you could look it up ? It suggests some supplements for specific fertility situations. Only thing I can see helping is losing some weight. I'm eating healthy and working out but after a life long battle with weight, my body is sooo slow with losing weight. I should lose 40 pounds to be at the normal weight. I'm now doing everything I can to lose weight while DH is away so we can start TTC again in December.

Hi there! I have a success story to share! I’m 35 and my husband is 45. I didn’t ovulate for ten years I Was underweight so I started reading everything I could get my hands on to see what I needed to do to ovulate. I changed my diet I gained healthy weight like ten pounds or more. I did healthy exercising nothing too intense or extreme. I took a number of supplements (Nordic Natural’s fish oil, Theralogix prenatal, methlfolate, I also had a thyroid issue that was corrected with synthroid, I started Fertility acupuncture for 12 sessions) I cut out hard liquor still enjoyed beers or a glass of wine. Also my egg count or AMH level was a 1.....I had poor quality eggs.

My husband had extremely low sperm count and fragmented sperm. He had three SA ranging from 1 million - 2 million. His doctor had him on a supplement and clomid for 3 months after that the count was 2.1 million we were devastated. Only chance was IVF with ICIS. I imagined we have to do least three rounds.

Two weeks later I got a BFP!!!! We had taken a little getaway to miami during ovulation two weeks prior and bam! Natural pregnancy!!

    Don’t give up hope!!! xx
  • It always makes me so sad to hear other women struggling ttc. I wouldnt wish this on anyone. It well and truly sucks. We have been trying for 17 months for our 3rd (no problems conceiving the first two).
It really is heartbreaking every month af arrives.
I felt absolutely hopeless during covid because all of the investigations and referrals were put on hold. Just seen the specialist so things are finally moving on.
I am trying not to let this defeat me. Every month I find something else to distract myself with... This month I plan to decorate our kitchen. I find having other focuses helps. Please remember there are many of us out there that are going through similar. We are here for you if you need to vent. The way I see it is... I am passing through a storm now so I can get to my rainbow.
