  • you need to get referred to a specialist who understands the weight issues that are associated with pcos. It is very difficult to lose weight with pcos but there are medications that you can be put on the air in weight loss.
4 years is way too long to have been trying without being given some help. When you were diagnosed with pcos was it done by a gynecologist? If not then ask your doctor to refer you to someone because of your pcos symptoms and then they will be able to suggest ways to help with ttc.

if your doctor will not refer you then see another doctor! You can't do this on your own honey, push and push until you get the care you need xxx
  • Hi,

I would certainly go back to my doctor and ask for some more info and a referal to a specialist.

There are several good books available on PCOS and alot of useful information on the net. There are lots of other associated risks with PCOS as well as infertility so it is useful to be equiped with as much information as possible. A low GI diet is the best one to follow if you have PCOS as it is proven to ease symptoms and reduce long term health risks. Please try this before you go down the surgery route, you haven't said how overweight you are but this diet has proven positive results. It isn't easy I know, I have really struggled with my weight for years but I have done some research and have lost 9lb in 3 weeks which for me is very positive and that is without doing as much activity as I would like.

Push to see a specialist hon but with this condition you also have to do as much as you can to control it.
