Talkback: How do I get my weaning baby to drink more milk?

Replies

  • My little dropped his milk feeds from around 8 months to 2-3 feeds a day. Unless he is ill and the he keeps to be nursed more often. At 14 months he still doesn't drink much cows milk from a glass, I offer it after his dinner. But I am happy that he gets calcium as he eats so much yogurt and loves cheese!
  • This article is really helpful, thank you. It was worrying when Annabel (almost 11 months) decreased her own milk (breast) feeds to 2-3 times a day. I was concerned that she wasn't getting enough milk, but offering the breast more often just made her vomit. Its reassuring to know that the 2-3 feeds are enough.
