Contractions are very difficult to describe. Mine started like period pains and built in intensity. I felt the pain all in my back and hips. I managed it with no pain relief and felt like superwoman afterwards. My labour was amazing, staying calm is the key, easier said than done, but achievable with the right support. I would have done it again in an instant! X
