Ha ha Shell. Nice one! Jack had homemade bolognese last week for the first time. What a laugh we had (and mess!) Jack is just waking up from his nap but will post a pic later....
Aargh, just wrote a reply but BE ate it, so apologies if this appears twice!
These pics of the little ones are fab!
I broke our camera recently (oops, was in the doghouse with hubby) but will have to try and figure out how to get pics uploaded from my phone onto the laptop.
A question, if I may! Do I just give Grace 'normal' bolognese as I would usually make it? I tend to use tinned toms etc rather than a jar of sauce. Thanks!
Em - I just made bolognese by frying some finely chopped onion in a splash of olive, a clove of garlic, tinned toms, bit of tom puree, mixed herbs, black pepper and a bit of finely chopped steak. Slightly different as to how I make 'adult bolognese' i.e oxo's and minced beef. So long as you don't add salt (or sugar) you should be fine. I've since bought baby stock cubes from Boots. I made beef stew with barley & dumplings last night using the baby stock cubes and it was better than ever! I blended some for Alfie and he loved it!
I must add, I only used finely chopped steak as that's what we were having rump steak for tea, usually I'd use lean minced beef. Took my bloody ages cut it up!
