wooden musical instruments for babies

Id like to get some for my daughters 1st birthday. Does anyone have any recomendations?

  • My LO has loads!! My Mum got him a set......its got maracas, xylophone, castanets, bells and a wooden drum. Plus lots of extra bits we've bought him.

    He LOVES it....he likes making noise you see!! Im not sure where she got it from though, it was a random present. I'll ask her, but i think i tmight have been a local shop....it didnt have any particular branding/shop name on it xxx
  • the elc do quite a lot, flute, tamborine, xylophone, maracas etc tc
  • I have a few for Holly, she loves them. The latest one is a baby grand piano, its fab!!
    I would recommend Melissa and Doug for any wooden toys, really well made with great attention to detail.

  • have you thought about a ukulele? they are like miniature guitars for little ones. I bought my son a blue one from www.musicforbaby.co.uk for his 1st birthday and he loves it so much. image
