I remember you saying a while back that you'd made some rice pudding for Emily, which went down a treat. Would you mind sharing the receipe?

Is it freezable?

No problems! I used this as a base:

I just used cinnamon instead of nutmeg. You can then add fruit if you like but the basic recipe is the same -2oz rice:1 pint milk.

I froze it and it was fine, defrosted well and still tasted yummy!

Nope, i just used full fat cows milk, i always use that in Emily's meals, we don't need to express for meals as they are over 6 months

LOL dread to think how long it would take you to express 1 pint of milk! Have yet to put cows milk in any of lo's food - can't be bothered to buy in full fat milk just to throw it away so just keep using formula

Where it says 1pint of milk, can that also be cows milk as well as expressed or formula milk?

I think it can be any milk, I would use cows milk though because it makes it nice and creamy - and you can always help lo finish it off!

It went quite dry

Not sure if I cooked it too long (even though it was less then 2 hours! Niamh (and DH) still seemed to enjoy it though and there is some for the freezer.

Quick question when you defrost it do you heat it through again before giving it to Emily?

Yes i did, not sure if it matters, i just always heat everything that has been defrosted - apart from fruit puree as emily likes them quite cold.
