ive heard that you do not receive ssmg for your 2nd child. does anyone know if this is already in effect? wasnt sure if this has not been introduced yet - like the health in pregnancy grant being cut from jan 1st.

best place to check is www.hmrc.co.uk website.
Everything from dates of HIP grant being cut to details of the child trust fund being cut are on there.

I recieved ssmg for both mine but my youngest is 3 and I know there have been some changes since then! Try entitledto or turn2us - websites for checking other benefits you may be entitled to.
