childcare.co.uk cheeky ask.

Hi I need a childminder as I am having to sob sob go back to work in May so I'm trying to sort out a childminder. I have signed up on childcare.co.uk to look for a childminder, however I don't really want to pay ??20quid to subscribe. Cheeky cheeky but is anyone a gold member and if so could they get a childminders contact no (can only get it if you pay money, very short on money at mo hence having to go back to work) If so could you let me know I'd be very very very grateful.

I'm not a member but can't believe they charge you to get a number ! I'd def not pay ??20. They should pay you for using the site xx

Thats awful that they charge. All childminders should be registered with your local council, you should be able to call them and they'll send you a list, if your local council has a website you should be able to find a contact number on there. I've done it before and got a list e-mailed over. Good luck xx

I used the OFSTED website as my starting point - can read all the reports from the nurseries/CM nearby - I def wouldn't pay!!!

call your local council. i am a member of the childcare.co.uk and i've noticed the minders on that website are the same ones that the council gives you in the list...for free.

    screw payinf ??20...greedy mofos.
