A carrycot that's a car seat? Is there such a thing?

We do long car journeys as all of our family live 6 hours away. I am trying to figure out how we might go about these journeys once number 2 arrives. Is there such a thing as a carrycot that fixes in as a car seat? Google search is not helping much!

Thanks!

I don't have a baby yet, but our families are 8/10 hour drives away if we get a good run at it so have been wondering the same thing.

    Britax do the baby-safe-sleeper

I'm not entirely sure what to do as my sisters giving me her car seat and travel system, but this looks much better for long journeys with a newborn.

On the subject of you getting your monies worth just thought I would add that we bought a carry cot and she outgrew it length ways by 12 weeks. In hindsight I wish we had bought a lie flat car seat x
