Recurring mastitis

My LO is 7 months now and I'm still mainly bf, she has 1 bottle a day if we're out, sometimes 2. I've been really lucky as I haven't really had any problems until now. In the past 6 weeks or so I've had really painful mastitis twice, with 2 lots of antibiotics. They cleared it up but they made me feel horrendous. I suffer with crohn's and it flared it upbig style.

Anyway, I keep getting pains (always in right breast). The doc wants tosend me for a mammogram and the hv said it could be thrush. I've been doing the hot flannel/shower and expressing but I'm still getting pains.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Really dont want more drugs. Xx

Sounds like the antibiotics have allowed a yeast infection (thrush) to take hold. Also the antib's may not have cleared it completely, I had to have a strong course of erythromicin (sp) to clear mine (6 times recurrent image )
